So if you've reached this page, you're probably wondering who in the hell this hodgepodge belongs to. Well, that would be me, in all of my trainwreck glory.
I'm middle-aged and a bad witch --and I mean that in the "oh fuck the moon is full?" kind of way-- I'm bisexual, a semi-closeted bigender individual, and a sex-neutral aseuxal.
I have very stong feelings about plants, foraging and native foodways, as well as Land Back (you can read more about that here.) I'm also undiagnosed ADHD, but i'm working on a professional diagnosis, so you'll probably find a bunch of unfinished or forgotten stuff here from time to time. Like all the projects I have scattered around my house.
I'm a physical media enthusiast, which is a nice way to say packrat. I have a rather large collection of books on a wide variety of topics, an eclectic collection of vinyl, and most of the video games I've owned in my life. There's also a decent handful of cds and DVDs each, as well as a few small boxes of VHS. I actually rather like having the VHS over DVDs, simply because I can stop a movie, and I don't have to futz with a menu to try to find my place again. Maybe it's just the Millenial in me, I don't know.
The current political climate in the USA --but also the world-- had pushed me to change the way I interact with media and the internet at large, which had led me here to the small internet. I'm rather enjoying my time here, and it makes me feel like I might be able to save myself in some small way. Detach a little bit at a time and reclaim my life.
It has also pushed me to think about the way the world interacts with me, and how many goddamned hooks it has in everything: Where we go, what we do, what we see, what we buy. The amount of cameras and GPS tracking, and targeted EVERYTHING is frankly boggling, but I will admit, I didn't really start thinking about this until recently. And goddammit, ads EVERYWHERE.
